Get Green Expo Debuts at the Greater Richmond Convention Center

July 7, 2008, Richmond, VA.  Royal Productions, Inc. announces the launch of the Get Green Expo at the Greater Richmond Convention Center April 24-25, 2010.  With 100,000+ square feet of exhibit space, the Expo is expected to be one of the largest mainstream consumer green shows on the east coast.  Hundreds of businesses and non-profit organizations will be on hand to exhibit and promote their eco-friendly products and services.  Attendees will be able to compare products from a number of vendors at one time, in one place, saving energy even in the shopping process.  The overarching goal of the Get Green Expo is to educate, inform, and inspire consumers about ways to enrich not only the environment, but also their homes and lives.  A primary focus will be on how to save money by reducing energy consumption, increasing energy independence, and making smarter choices.

“We are extremely excited about this opportunity to raise community awareness, assist businesses and non-profit organizations, and promote environmental education and conservation,” said David Posner, President of Royal Productions.  “But going green isn’t just about the environment.   In today’s economic climate, most people’s primary concerns are reducing consumption and saving money.  We want to focus on these issues as well.”

The Get Green Expo will be comprised of many different categories, including: food and beverage, health and wellness, fashion and beauty, green home and green building, transportation, energy, and eco-travel.  In addition, there will be non-profits, local and state agencies, and colleges that promote environmental education, recycling, and conservation.   Attendees will also be able to speak to green businesses, those companies that meet higher standards of environmental performance within their own operations.

The Get Green Expo isn’t just about clean air and clean water.  It’s also about “greening” our bodies.  “It doesn’t make any sense to have a clean and healthy environment if we as individuals are too sick and tired to enjoy it.  Eating right, exercising, and being proactive about our health should be a priority for all Americans,” says Posner.

In addition to exhibits, there will be a wide range of seminars presented continuously throughout the two-day event.   There will also be a children’s area where kids can have fun while learning about conservation, recycling, and how to live a healthy lifestyle.

The Get Green Expo is being produced to benefit the Get Green Foundation, a 501-C3 non-profit whose mission is to support local non-profit environmental and conservation organizations through grants and scholarships, including Virginia environmental-friendly organizations, educational institutions, and eco-friendly programs and projects.  In addition, participating non-profits can share in ticket revenues with an innovative program called Ticket Share.
