GET GREEN FOUNDATION

The Get Green Foundation Fund was established to provide grants and awards to Virginia environmentally friendly organizations, educational institutions, and eco-friendly programs and projects.

The Get Green Foundation Fund is a component fund of The Community Foundation Serving Richmond and Central Virginia, a 501c3 organization that helps preserve legacies and build permanent endowments to enhance the lives of citizens in Central Virginia. In 2007 The Community Foundation's endowments exceeded $650 million and encompassed over 500 component funds which supported approximately $44 million in grant-making. (www.tcfrichmond.org).

Primary funding of the Get Green Foundation Fund will be from revenues received from the Get Green Expo. One Hundred percent of all donated monies will go into the Fund. All gifts made directly to the Get Green Foundation Fund are considered charitable for tax purposes.

An advisory board of 5 representatives will determine each year how to allocate the available resources of the Get Green Foundation Fund. If you are interested in serving on the board, please contact us by e-mail info@getgreenexpo.org.
