ABOUT THE GET GREEN EXPO
Of course it’s about the environment, clean water, clean air, conserving our natural resources, and saving energy, but it’s also about so much more like:
- SAVING MONEY through energy savings and making smarter choices
- Building and living in HEALTHIER more energy efficient homes
- Finding out about NEW TECHNOLOGIES for the future
- Meeting and talking face-to-face with EXPERTS
- “Greening” our bodies to LIVE HEALTHIER, longer lives
- LEARNING to be more self sufficient and sustainable
- SUPPORTING eco-friendly non profits
- Making our country STRONGER and more INDEPENDENT
- Buying locally and supporting the LOCAL ECONOMY
Being green is a state of mind, a desire for a better quality of life, not just for us, but our children and for generations to come. Obviously most people can’t rush out and build a new green home, buy a new hybrid, or ride a bike to work regardless of their commitment to the environment or to saving money. It’s about making small changes in our daily lives that can have a large effect when multiplied by hundreds, thousands, or millions of people.
Why get green?
Green is good for America!
Regardless of your political affiliation, your financial status, or
profession the issues that confront us as Americans are serious and not
going away. We must choose to be more self sufficient and independent as a
country.
Green is Here to Stay
Getting green is no fad or trend that’s going away. It’s no longer just
about clean air, clean water, reducing pollution and recycling. It’s about
quality of life, peace of mind and independence. Getting “green” is no
longer just an option or an idea that some choose to support, it’s now an
obligation that we as Americans must all bear. It’s our future and the
sooner we begin to embrace it the better off we as Americans will be.
Green is Growing
Every day more and more people are incorporating green products and services
into their daily lives. Interest in everything “green" has never been higher
and it only continues to grow. It's rare to pick up a newspaper, magazine,
watch TV without seeing a story about gas prices, oil prices, the high cost
of bread, milk or meat, and the high health care costs.
It Takes Us All
There's no magic wand, no new law, no one person that's going to change the
way we live. It’s time for Americans to start taking more control over our
futures. It's no longer the small number of environmentalists driving this
movement it’s the average Joe and Jane who have had enough with the high
fuel prices, enough with high food costs, and enough with having our futures
controlled by foreign governments.
